Why Do We Need Them?

Vehicle Brakes live in an environment where they go through heat cycles and have moving part that are exposed to the elements. They need a lubricant that will allow them to move back and forth and not wash off or dry up and leave the components dry. When the components are not properly lubricated; they can cause issues with the brake system components.

Why use a Brake Lubricant

  • Vibration dampening – Smoother stopping
  • Noise reduction – Quieter, less squeaks and squeals
  • Reduce wear and tear – Longer, useful life

Differentiators

  • Temperature resistance
  • Viscosity
  • Rubber swell

Results for not using Brake Lubricants

  • Uneven Brake Pad/Shoe Wear
  • Cracked brake pads/shoes
  • Rotors/drums to need to be cut/replaced
  • Hardware may need to be replaced.
